One of the Most Complex Choice-based Text Adventures Comes to Steam and Nintendo Switch

In the current political climate when making an important choice can determine the future of the world, Tin Man Games has released a new game full of Choices That Matter. And The Sun Went Out is the first epic text adventure game in the series to be released on PC, Mac and Nintendo Switch.

Tin Man Games’ Creative Director, Neil Rennison, said “We’re well known for our choice-based digital adventure games and I have to say that And The Sun Went Out is one of the most complex interactive adventure stories the team has ever put together!”

Choices That Matter: And The Sun Went Out is vast, spread across approximately 600,000 words with 2,400 choices and multiple endings. No one player can discover the entire story in a single play through and each time a story arc is concluded, players get to see how many other readers ended the story in the same spot.

Throughout the game you form multiple connections, most importantly with your digital companion, Moti. Neil Rennison continued: “The team has become very fond of Moti and we want players to build that emotional bond too. While being incredibly clever, Moti is also vulnerable and a little naïve in some situations. While looking to give you advice, Moti also calls you ‘Teacher’, learning from your decisions, rightly or wrongly.”
The Choices That Matter app has been downloaded over 1.2 million times on mobile and its arrival on these new platforms will give new players a chance to uncover conspiracies, discover ancient religions, travel the globe, and expose the truth about why the sun inexplicably vanished, only to return hours later.

Choices That Matter: And The Sun Went Out is available to download on November 5th from Steam and the Nintendo eShop. It costs $5.99 USD and has a launch discount of 20%.
