New Cave Digger 2 Game Details Revealed

Finnish VR game publisher VRKiwi announces new details about their upcoming VR adventure game Cave Digger 2: Dig Harder. Being the sequel to the 2018 game Cave Digger, which has since come to multiple VR and flat-screen platforms, Cave Digger 2 is confirmed to introduce a 4-player multiplayer co-op and combat mechanics to the game series.

Another major change is freeform mining with procedural mining run generator. Mining runs are made of select premade chambers. The Run Generator basically selects adjectives from a list and uses only the chambers matching those adjectives for a given run. So each mining run will be unique while based on a certain theme.

The game also comes with its own storyline in a region called New Frontier. As players seek Mother Earth’s riches, they come across mysteries. The biggest mystery will be linked to Clayton, an NPC who came to New Frontier long before the players themselves. Multiple endings will also be part of Cave Digger 2 similar to the first Cave Digger.

The publisher also announced that the Steam Early Access release is planned to be in the 3rd quarter of 2021 and the game’s Steam page is now online for wishlisting on

About Cave Digger 2: Dig Harder
Cave Digger 2: Dig Harder is a VR single/multiplayer coop adventure game taking place in an alternative, weird west dieselpunk world. The player is a penniless but adventurous prospector in the wild northern region known only as “The New Frontier”. As the player excavates the mountains of their claim, they encounter many mysteries along the way, and only two things remain constant: the North is cold and the Frontier guards its secrets well.
