Today, indie game developer and publisher Horrible Guild is proud to announce the worldwide release of Railroad Ink Challenge, the digital adaption of the critically acclaimed roll-and-write tabletop game, in which you build railways, highways, and stations to create transportation networks. Railroad Ink Challenge is available today on PC and MacOS® via STEAM™, and on iOS® and Android™ compatible devices.
Railroad Ink Challenge is a popular tabletop game created by award-winning designers Hjalmar Hach & Lorenzo Silva and illustrated by artist Marta Tranquilli. The digital versions now available offers the same compelling and exciting gameplay where you plan your routes, connect the exits around your board, expand your transportation system, and reach networking nirvana! You can play solo to beat your own best scores, or challenge players from all over the world using the global online leaderboards. For each of the 7 rounds you roll the dice and draw the ideal routes to the exit. Your goal is to collect the highest number of points, and at the end of the game, you are penalized for any open connections, so careful planning is essential. You may connect special structures to your network to trigger special effects: duplicate a route with Factories, gain bonus points by building Stations next to Villages, and unlock extra Special Routes with Universities. Each game also features a different set of optional, time-limited in-game Goals. Try to complete them before they expire to score even more points!
Railroad Ink Challenge is suitable to players of all ages and experience levels and offers an intuitive and clever design. You can send invites to your friends: players joining your same game later will play with the same exact goals and round-per-round dice that you dealt with, creating a fully asynchronous challenge! Who will get the best score?
Horrible Guild are busy planning further expansions to the game; Forest, Desert and other cool expansions based on the physical board game are in the works and will be coming soon as DLCs to the original download. These expansions add special dice and rules to create even more intricate landscapes for your highways and railways.
