Italian Developer Matteo Dalmasso Releases His Solo Project Chicken Cannon!

During testing no one was able to beat the game, according to the developer.
 
Italian developer Matteo Dalmasso announced that his solo project “Chicken Cannon!” will be released on Steam on September 8th. Chicken Cannon is a 3D physics-based rage game, where the player has to launch a chicken from one cannon to another, trying to reach the end of a freely explorable low poly world.
 
“The project started in March 2020 as a way to beat the boredom of quarantine, and it evolved into a little game that’s as hard to beat as it is simple in its core mechanics. Neither me nor any of those who tested the game managed to beat it, but I made sure it was possible to do so.”

The game starts in a chicken farm, welcoming the player with some simple shots to get the gist of the cannon mechanic. Advancing through the map, the player will be able to explore many different zones, such as a castle, a city, a snowy mountain or a volcano. The game becomes increasingly hard, to the point where getting to the next checkpoint becomes (almost) impossible, with moving targets and obstacles that will literally fry your chicken, making the player into a delicious snack of rage.
 
Chicken Cannon includes:

  • Collectibles hidden across the map.
  • Integration with Steam stats (to get an accurate evaluation of the raging that’s happening in the community).
  • Integration with Steam leaderboards (in case anyone manages to beat the game, his time will be saved).
  • A special mode, unlocked after the player beats the game for the first time.
